Adverse Weather Conditions Update 15/12/22
Dear Families,
Adverse Weather Conditions
16th December 2022
Due to the road conditions outside school:
- School drop off will stay between 8.45am and 9.30am and pick up will be between 2.45pm and 3.30pm. This will ease congestion in the surrounding roads and hopefully make them safer. We have once again phoned Gloucestershire Highways again today and hope that they will grit and clear the pathways so that we can operate as usual on Friday.
- Earlies will run as normal tomorrow with drop off at 8am
- Lates will not run, this was cancelled a couple of weeks ago.
- Please inform school if your child is off due to illness.
If the arrangements outlined above change you will be notified by 7.30am tomorrow morning.
Yours truly,

- Earlies will run as normal tomorrow with drop off at 8am (Early Birds will not run)
- Lates will be running, however, we ask that you only use it if you really need the provision. In order to get everyone home as early and safely as possible, we also ask that you collect your child(ren) at the earliest opportunity.
- Please inform school if your child is off due to illness.
Please be aware that we have a number of staff who live outside Cheltenham. They are going to do their best to get to school but we will not be sure that this is possible until the morning. Staff absence due to illness is also a complicating factor alongside a shortage of supply teachers.
If the arrangements outlined above change you will be notified by 7.30am tomorrow morning.

Adverse Weather Conditions Update 12/12/22
Dear Families,
Adverse Weather Conditions
Thank you to families that brought their children to school today and helped to make the drop off and pick up work. Given that the temperature is due to drop below freezing we will maintain the arrangements that worked today.
Tuesday 13th December.
For families who feel that they can safely make their way to and from school and nursery tomorrow, we are planning to be open. Having seen the overnight weather forecast, and to operate as safely as possible, we will maintain the following changes.
- Earlies will operate as normal from 8am (Early Birds will not run)
- Lates will be cancelled. This will allow everyone to get home before the freezing temperatures that are forecast make the roads increasingly treacherous.
- School drop off will be between 8.45am and 9.30am and pick up will be between 2.45pm and 3.30pm. This will ease congestion in the surrounding roads and hopefully make them safer.
- We will authorise the absence of children who do not attend school because their parents/carers feel that it is not safe to travel.

Adverse Weather Conditions Update 11/12/22
Dear Families,
Adverse Weather Conditions
For families who feel that they can safely make their way to and from school and nursery tomorrow, we are planning to be open. Having seen the overnight weather forecast, and to operate as safely as possible, we will however make the following changes.
- Earlies and Lates will be cancelled. This will enable staff to focus on site safety (gritting pathways etc) and allow everyone to get home before the freezing temperatures that are forecast make the roads increasingly treacherous.
- School drop off will be between 8.45am and 9.30am. This will ease congestion in the surrounding roads and hopefully make them safer. We will consider flexible pick up arrangements tomorrow and keep you updated.
- We will authorise the absence of children who do not attend school because their parents/carers feel that it is not safe to travel.
Please be aware that we have a number of staff who live outside Cheltenham. They are going to do their best to get to school but we will not be sure that this is possible until the morning. Staff absence due to illness is also a complicating factor alongside a shortage of supply teachers.
We will therefore confirm the arrangements outlined above by 7.30am tomorrow morning.
Yours truly,
Alison Godfrey
