Dear Mrs Godfrey,
IMPORTANT - New Communication App
This term we are excited to be launching our new App. As well as saving us money, it will enhance our communication with families.
Once you have been sent your log in details we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you download the Edulink One App to your phone. A small orange circle will appear when new information / form is added. You can also access Edulink One online.
The new app has all of the features of our current app, but also allows us to provide more information that is specific to your child(ren). It enables you to provide consent for visits, clubs and sporting activities all in one convenient place.
From September we will no longer be using our current text messaging system. This means that it is essential that all parties with Parental Responsibility activate their personal account as messages will be sent via email and push notifications.
Log-in details will soon be sent to everyone that has Parental Responsibility that we have a personal email address for. If you don't have our current app or believe that we don't have an email address for you, please complete the following form: https://dunalleyps.schoolzineplus.co.uk/form/29
Dunalley's Book wish list - NEW
We are always looking to find new ways to nurture a love of reading and enhance and extend our libraries. We want your children to enjoy a range of genres and styles.
If you would like to buy a book for our school and have it dedicated to your child, please select from the following lists.
We are very grateful to the family of Klara in Year 4 who have very kindly donated a box of books from the list. The children had great fun in assembly looking at the new books that will be soon on our library shelves. Thank you so much for your donation.
We are all thrilled that the weather is becoming warmer and that the sun makes an appearance but please ensure your child applies suncream before they come into school and brings a named sunhat with them.
We are excited to celebrate Being Healthy the weeks of 3rd and 10th July. This is part of our PSHE curriculum but encompasses much more. During the fortnight we will have:
KS2 sports day – 11th July
KS1 sports day – 13th July
Our catering team will be putting on healthy eating events for children including the Smoothie Bike!
We would like to ask if any parents would like to lead a group activity at lunchtime (between 11.45-12.45) on any day during the fortnight to please get in touch with Mr Price. Maybe a yoga session on the field or basketball on the courts – anything healthy and fun that you are passionate about would be welcomed! Let’s support Healthy body, healthy minds, healthy relationships together.
We are pleased to welcome Mr David Jakab-Thomas to the Dunalley team this week, who will be working alongside Mr Wilson in year 4 for the rest of this school year.
David is looking forward to working with the Dunalley community and is excited to be part of our team.
Nursery & Pre-school are pleased to have appointed Rachel Scarfe to their team, Rachel, currently a valued memeber of our OPAL team will now also provide support in our Nursery & Pre-school when needed.
Dunalley is fortunate to have such a dedicated team working with the children.

PTFA Colour Run - Saturday 16th September 2023
The PTFA is looking to cover some of the costs of the colour run through corporate sponsorship. Do you run your own business or do you work for a company who would be willing to be a sponsor of our colour run? Our corporate sponsorship packages cost £100 and in return for your generous support we will include your organisation's logo on our colour run banner. Your business details will also be shared on our social media pages and in the school newsletter. This is a great way for local businesses to support our school community events. If you'd like to take one of the packages or would like some more information, please email [email protected] and one of the PTFA team will be in touch.
Thank you.
