Summer Festival - A BIG thank you
Our first collaborative Summer Festival between Pittville School, Dunalley, Holy Trinity & St Johns was a huge success last Saturday and a fantastic community event.
Thank you for all who attended, there were a lot of Dunalley families there, which was just fabulous to see.
A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped, giving up their time on Saturday and during the run up ensuring that the festival was as good as it was.
There was hard work and organisation by all 4 schools, representatives from the PTA's and staff, Fairview Community Association were also heavily involved.
Funds raised from the event will be split between the 4 schools, we hope to be able to share the amount raised for Dunalley next week.
Literature Festival & Book Fair update
Health Fortnight – 3-14th July
Over the past two weeks we have been discussing Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds and Healthy Relationships. We have been lucky enough to have parents in to run netball and rugby sessions (with thanks to Tag Trojans of Cheltenham), Mr Skippy skipping sessions, fruit tasting, a smoothie bike and an assembly from Young Minds Matter as well as sports days and a Dunalley half marathon.
THANK YOU to families who have donated to our pantry, we, and the families using the facility, are extremely grateful.
Dunalley Pantry has been set up to help families who are struggling with the cost of living crisis - we now have a bank of products that are free to families in need.
Please contact Sam or Phoebe (our family support workers) if you would like to use the pantry - they will be very happy to help. You can catch them at the beginning or end of the school day, call them on 01242 512391 (select option 2), or email [email protected].

Nursery & Pre-school have had a busy week this week, with lots of consideration being given to how can we be healthy. The children continue to enjoy DidiRugby with Coach Keith, they have enjoyed some Cosmic Yoga with Mrs Fox and the children participated well on their Sports afternoon. A big thanks to all the parents and grandparents who came along to support them as they undertook 10 challenges. Once all 10 were completed they were awarded with a healthy fruit salad snack.
Well done to everyone who joined in.
This week, Year 2 welcomed a very small but incredibly important visitor to their lesson. Her name is Mieka and she is 5 months old! Mieka came along with her very brilliant mummy called Holly. The daughter and mummy team helped us to understand how babies change from birth and we got to ask Holly lots of questions while Mieka behaved perfectly! This tied in brilliantly with our Science and RSE learning this term.
Mrs Raybould is a very proud Nanny!

We highly recommend that you download the app and add it to your phone's homepage to stay up to date with Dunalley school life.

Welly Walk - 3.15pm Wednesday 19th July
Our fabulous OPAL lunchtimes have meant that having a pair of wellies in school at all times is essential. So that we can clean our well used wellie stores whilst the weather is good, we will be asking all children to take their wellies home next week.
If the wellies no longer fit your child, and you would like to donate them to our welly swap, please do so by placing them in the collection boxes at our main reception and main field gate.
On Wednesday 19th July we will organise a walkway of donated and unclaimed wellies in the playground. Please follow the trail of wellies with your child(ren) at home time and take whatever you need.
All children will need to bring a pair of wellies with them to school in September so that they can be stored in what will be clean storage units located next to their new classrooms.
Another OPEN DAY for September 2024 Starters will take place on January 9th 2024 at 9.30am to 10.30am - please just come along!
Please email [email protected] to register your interest in coming along.
This email just gives us an idea of numbers, we will not respond, please just come along on at 9.30 am.
