We are really excited to be launching our Positive Play Partner initiative in school. The children were asked to complete application forms to put themselves forward and we had nearly 70 applicants.
The first children to be selected are below, they have had their first training session with Mr Price this week. They discussed emotional wellbeing, supporting others and guiding children to trusted adults in their role as PPPs. They will have a further session with Mrs Samways when they will understand how to support play, the OPAL team and share ideas for lunchtimes. They will then begin working with the OPAL team and other adults to support positive playtimes and ensure all children feel supported, happy and included in all outside play.
Thank you to everyone who applied; we will train further children later in the year to build on the initiative.

We are delighted to confirm that we will be holding a Christmas celebration in St Paul's Church on the morning of Thursday 21st December. All year groups will be registered in school as usual before walking to the church for an event that will start at approximately 9.30am. If you are free at this time, you are most welcome to meet us at the church and join the celebration.
Christmas Jumpers can be worn during the final two weeks of term, from Monday 11th December. This is optional.
Our Christmas jumper swap is now open. In order to avoid unnecessary expense, we encourage families who would like to switch to Christmas jumpers to bring any unwanted jumpers to the main reception and swap them for a larger size.
Year 3 welcomed parents into the classroom to help add the finishing touches to our sandwich packaging. Thanks for the fantastic support in both classes, it was lovely to see you all.

Autumn Term Clubs have now finished.
This was the last week of clubs.
Please collect your children at the normal time each day.
This does not affect Earlies & Lates
Thanks

This Winter holiday period, Gloucestershire County Council will provide families in receipt of Free School Meals, who sign up to this offer, with vouchers to assist with food costs during the school holidays.
Applications for holiday FSM vouchers for December 2023 Winter holiday will be open from midday on the 28th November until midday on the 12th December.
Voucher emails will be sent from week commencing the 18th December.
The scheme is for children in reception to year 11 who receive Pupil Premium (benefits-related) free school meals and attend a school in Gloucestershire.
The Council are unable to consider college and sixth form students, nor children who receive infant free school meals (available to all children from reception to year 2) - they are not eligible for this scheme.
Families who have signed up previously do not need to re-register for December 2023 holiday vouchers - they will already have been included.
Families that have previously signed up will need to contact the council with any changes to circumstances (e.g. if the number of children eligible increases or decreases). To ensure we reach all those who are eligible, we are encouraging parents that have not previously signed up, to sign up as soon as they can.
To find out more about the scheme and to apply, parents can visit our FAQs | Gloucestershire County Council
Using vouchers – vouchers need to be used will only be awarded once the parent has registered for the scheme and cannot be backdated. Vouchers are valid for 6 months, although should be used in the holiday period in which they are awarded. If vouchers are not claimed and have expired, they cannot be re-issued. Vouchers not received should be queried via email to [email protected] by the end of the holiday period.
For any parents wishing to update details of an existing application, please ask them to email [email protected] so we can update their account, as details are not automatically updated.
