The children have really embraced their learning of all things Arctic and Antarctic this term in Reception.
After the inspiring trip to Birdland they have produced some wonderful writing, clay sculptures of polar animals and classified according to their location. A great term of learning from all in Reception.
After lunch, we dressed up in traditional Indian clothes, compared the food we had eaten to the food in the UK and all joined in with a Bollywood dance.
What a fantastic afternoon!
This week Year 4 have been sewing mini-beasts as part of their Art unit.
They put lots of time, effort and creativity into making their creatures look fantastic!
If you look closely, you can see the polka dots drawn on their designs, inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama!
Well done Year 4!
We are very pleased to announce the start of a new group being run by Nursery & pre-school.
Dunalley Diddies is for parent/carers and babies 0-1yrs old, starting on Wednesday 21st February.
If you are interested, please turn up and enjoy the company of other families with little ones and some homemade cake!
Nursery & Pre-school - Donations Request
As we start our new baby group, we are looking for good quality baby gyms, baby floor mats, baby toys (soft, plastic or wooden).
If you are able to help us, please pop to nursery and speak to Sue or Hannah Street.
Thank you.
Thank you to everyone for their generous donations today.
Today many of the children and staff wore something red, and donated a prize for the tombola at the PTFA's next event, the amount of donations was absolutely fabulous.
Thank you for supporting the PTFA.
Our Dunalley dance club have been working really hard over the last few weeks creating a dance routine which they performed at The Town Hall on Monday as part of 'Feet First' Festival, dancing to a song from the musical 'The Choir of Man' called 'Bring Tomorrow On'.
The children had such fun piecing the choreography together, it included everyone’s ideas, creative moves and even had a touch of sign language as part of the routine.
Mrs Garraghan and Mr Adams had the pleasure of escorting the children to the town hall for their performance and couldn't be prouder of the children who took part, proudly representing Dunalley Primary School.
Well done to all involved!
