WISHING YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY
As we come to the end of what has been another extraordinary half-term, which started with the continuation of lockdown and home-learning, switched to everyone being back in school and is ending with some small relaxations of restrictions it certainly feels like we are all ready for, hopefully, the warmth of some spring sunshine and to be able to meet up with family and friends, maybe get a haircut and go to the shops too! We hope you are able to enjoy the holiday break and for those who celebrate Easter we wish you a happy one. We look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday 19th April.
IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR THE HOLIDAYS
If a child or member of staff develops Covid-19 symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, and subsequently gets a positive test result, we will need to alert affected families as part of our responsibility to help with Track and Trace.
If your child develops any of the Covid-19 symptoms before Saturday 3rd April:
1. Get a PCR test straight away - a lateral flow test MUST NOT be used
2. Let us know that you have booked a test because your child has one or more covid19 symptoms
3. Let us know the result of the test as soon as you get it.
Do this by texting or phoning Alison Godfrey on 07413173395 and emailing [email protected].
The quickest way of getting a result is by going to a test centre, the postal service takes longer. If you need a PCR test, you can book one on-line. The nearest testing
centre to our school that you can book a PCR test is at the High Street car park, Swindon Road, GL50 3HQ.
If the test result is positive, we will immediately contact affected families to let them know that their child needs to isolate for 10 days.
Thank you for helping us to keep our community as safe as possible. Whilst we very much hope that no one develops symptoms, it is important that we know about it so that we can play our part in reducing the transmission of covid-19 in our community and make sure that families have all of the information that they need in order to plan their time during the holiday period.

SUMMER TERM - DAYS TO WEAR PE KITS AND FOREST SCHOOL CLOTHING
Please look at this carefully as we have made some changes to the days when PE kits need to be worn.
On all other days, pupils should continue to wear their school uniform. Please remember that school is well-ventilated, layers may be needed. Trainers can continue to worn instead of school shoes as we will continue to take learning outside wherever possible.
EU SETTLEMENT SCHEME INFORMATION
Are you an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen living in the UK? If so, you and your family members need to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to ensure that you can continue living in the UK after Brexit. If you have applied for yourself, you may still need to apply for your children, even if they were born in the UK. Click here for further information.

YR Superhero project and dress up day
After the holiday we will be learning about fictional superheroes and then move on to learning about real people who help us. Over the break, please help your child to make a superhero. This can be in any format e.g. a picture, painting, model. Please bring in your superhero project on Monday 19th April and we also invite your child to come to school dressed as a superhero on this first day back! As school is very well ventilated, please make sure your child has enough layers on underneath their costume to stay warm throughout the day and that they bring a coat as usual.
