Reception - Pitville Park visit
Reception have enjoyed their immersion into the new text Stanley’s Stick this week. They have been writing stick safety notices, imagining uses for sticks and, on Wednesday, visited Pitville Park. At the park they created natural art, which included houses, bonfires, bug homes and more as well as exploring colour and texture with bark rubbing. They will be continuing their imaginary journeys with the books Stanley’s Stick and On Sudden Hill this term.
Year 6 had an amazing time on Wednesday 5th June, either making pizzas at Pizza Express or visiting the Science Festival to see Dr. Meghanne Christian talk about her time working in Antartica and her training to become an astronaut.
Thank you to all who helped organise these trips - they were brilliant!
We would like to remind our families about our Dunalley Pantry.

OPAL Stay and Play - June 22nd
Last week, on June 11th, we marked the first-ever International Day of Play, which has been declared by the United Nations General Assembly to champion and protect children's right to play.
Play opens up a whole world of possibilities. That’s why the United Nations General Assembly got together to adopt an annual International Day of Play (the 11th of June). This is because every child can reach their full potential with time, space and access to play.
It’s time to put play back on the agenda and at Dunalley we are so lucky to have our OPAL initiative for our children.
We would like to invite all of our families to join us for a morning of OPAL Play on Saturday 22nd June from 10am - 12pm.
This is an invitation to all families in our Dunalley community and gives everyone the opportunity to have some wholesome family fun playing with the children.
Please keep your accounts in credit at all times in order to purchase a lunch for your child, or attend Earlies & Lates.
We appreciate your continued support as always.
The quiz will be set up in teams of 4, each participant will need a ticket for the event. We are thrilled that Let’s Fry has agreed to feed us all again on the night and you can order and purchase through SumUp. Please feel free to bring along your favourite tipple to enjoy on the night and we will have soft drinks available to purchase. We also plan to run a raffle. Please let us know if you can help set up the event [email protected].
