Thank you to the PTFA for organising our pumpkin decorating competition. The entries were absolutely brilliant and we have enjoyed having the pumpkins displayed in our corridors. Here are just a few of the entries:
Lucy, the Chair of our School Council had the unenviable task of judging the pumpkins. After much deliberation, the following children were awarded prizes.
Reception - Josh
Year 1 - Ada
Year 2 - Katie
Year 3 - Millie
Year 4 - Lisa
Year 5 - Georgie
Year 6 - Izzy
OVERALL WINNER - William - Year 4
Given the success of this competition, we will hold a snowman making competition towards the end of term. Entries will need to be able to sit on our window sills and bring some winter cheer!
Coffee and Cake & Cheese and Wine
As we are due to change from our current catering company to Dolce Ltd in January, we have decided NOT to change our menu until the handover.
Please note that when we return to school the menu will be WEEK 1 and will continue on the 3 weekly cycle until January.
At the moment we are keeping pasta off of the menu - we are waiting for further guidance.
The menu is available on our website:
There are 34 lunch days next term. Please ensure you have £87.72 in your child's account to cover this.
If you have more than this in your account, DO NOT add any more funds as the money would need to be reclaimed by you via AiP. The School will not be able to help you with refunds.
Two of our Year 4 swimmers wanted to write about their experiences at swimming.
Did you know year four are having a fun time swimming at the leisure centre? There is diving, swimming and splashing!
There are different levels: A, B and C. If you’re not so strong at swimming you will love level A - they also use pool noodles and floats to help them swim. Authors Jamie and Eve (4MP).
Poppies, wristbands, reflectors and button ribbons will be available from the school office from the 4th November.

Dear Parent or Carer, of children in Reception & Yr6 only
Screening vision and measuring the healthy growth of children
Each year in England, school children in Reception and Year 6 have their height and weight checked at school as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). Height and weight measurements are used to better understand the healthy growth of your child. We collect this information because it is in the interest of public health to understand how many children are living with a healthy weight or are above or below a healthy weight.
Your Head Teacher has agreed that your child’s school will be participating in the NCMP, you can contact your school to find out when we will be visiting. If a high volume of children are absent on the date of our visit, we may need to make another unplanned visit so please complete the opt out form HERE if you do not wish for your child to be included in any NCMP measurements.
Please note, children will not be made to take part on the day if they do not want to.
Further information can be found at the links below. If you are happy, no action is required.
