We are excited to launch our family snowman making competition. Building on the success of our autumn pumpkin decorating competition, we invite you all to make a snowman that can sit on school window sills during the winter months. We hope that the following pictures will inspire you.
Please bring your entries to school as soon as they are ready. The competition will be judged in the final week of term so you have a couple of weeks to make your entry. Please label you snowman clearly and make sure that he is able to sit on a window sill (which is 25cm deep).
We are pleased to let you know that our School Christmas Menu has been agreed and we are delighted that there will be no additional cost to our families.
Please fill in the survey that we sent out earlier today, via Edulink, if you would like to book a Christmas lunch for your child. The deadline for doing so is 12 noon on Monday as our caterers need to know numbers next week.
Christmas Lunch will be served during our Christmas week - on Tuesday 17th December.
We would like to remind families that the school office is staffed until 5pm. Staff are not employed to work in the office between 5pm and 5.30pm.
This means that families who have pre-arranged an occasional early collection from Lates must come to collect their children before 5pm.
We are happy to facilitate early collections if you need to get your child to an after school activity e.g. a swimming or music lesson. Please email [email protected] to pre-arrange a before 5pm pick up time in these circumstances.
Please note that we do not offer flexible pick up arrangements outside of this given the disruption it causes within Lates. Activities are planned to come to an end in time for the 5.30pm finish and staff need to be able to focus on tidying up with the children, making sure that everyone has their belongings, and securing a safe handover.
Our school gates are programmed to open at 5.20pm in preparation for the 5.30pm collection time. Please make sure that you are not late to collect as our staff need to leave promptly at the end of their shifts to get to their own families.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Christmas Gifts thanks to Dunelm
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Mr Toth and family for their very generous and kind donation of a 3D Printer.
We are sure that the children will find it really interesting and we are eager to get started. Mr Toth left it printing with us this morning and it's already caused a great deal of excitement!
If you wish to book your child on this KS2 club, which runs on Wednesdays from 8 January–12 February 2025, please visit https://tinyurl.com/dunalks2
Earlies & Lates - Booking update
Given that we had no internet access in school yesterday, we are not able to confirm LATES bookings today. We will get back to families early next week.

Please bring your donations into the School Office from Monday 2nd December to Thursday 5th December. We would like to aim to donate 30 hampers from our school community. Please only donate the following items if you can.
A festive dessert – from Christmas cake to Christmas pud, Yule be adding a sweet treat to your shopping basket.
Tasty biscuits or mince pies – whether you are team mince pies or team choccy biscuits, these little treats are the perfect way to celebrate the festive season.
Chocolates – December may be the only time of year when chocolate for breakfast is acceptable! Share your favourites and add a box to your shopping trolley!
Savoury snacks – sometimes it’s nice to break up the sweetness with something savoury. Now where did we put that tube of Pringles…?
Hot drinks – like a hug in a mug, you can’t go wrong with a warming cup of hot chocolate, coffee or fancy tea.
(Only the items on this list will be included in our hampers. Any additional items donated will go to our Community Pantry. This year, we've updated the list based on feedback from our recipients to add a bit of Christmas sparkle and to make packing easier for our volunteers.
Food items donated need to be in date until 26 December. Out of date items cannot be accepted.)
