We are delighted to be involved in 'Lions at Large', a county wide fundraising initiative for new cancer care facilities in Cheltenham with digital consulting rooms, space for state-of-the-art research, as well as therapeutic outside space. You will find more information here:
A pride of large Lion sculptures will be designed and painted by local artists and joined by the Cub Club - a pride of Little Lions created by local schools and community groups. We want to be part of this!
The School Council would like to invite you to help us raise at least £750 to support the Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospitals Appeal. We have set up a Just Giving page so that everyone in and linked to our community can donate. Please share with friends and family as widely as you can:
https://www.justgiving.com/page/dunalley-primary-school-cub-lion
If you have donated via Parent Pay, we will refund this money so that you can donate into the Just Giving page and utilise 'Gift Aid' if appropiate.
We would also like to invite all the children to help inspire the decoration our Cub Lion. Each child will come home today with a template to decorate over half term - please can all completed lions be handed into class teachers on Monday 24th February.
Please encourage your children to consider the following when coming up with a design:
- whats important to them
- colour & vibrancy
- our local community / where we live
- consider a play on words related to the project: lion, pride, Dunalley
- finally please be aware of copywrite and ensure designs are non political

Nursery & Pre-school - News & Updates

We are pleased to let you know that Lates continues to thrive. The childcare facility is working at full capacity.
The Lates team continues to work tirelessly to ensure that children enjoy their time in school whilst benefiting from a range of activities and opportunities.
After half term there will be some operational changes to how we run the Lates provision.
We will have a Little Lates (Nursery & Reception), Middle Lates (Year 1 & Year 2) and Big lates (Year 3, 4, 5 & 6) and each group will have their own base. We will explain this to children after half term.
The team will continue to ask your children about what they would like to do and continue to do their best to facilitate this whenever possible. Our aim is to ensure that everyone is happy and safe.
The collection of school aged children at the end of the session remains the same: 5.20pm from the main entrance (when the gates open).
Nursery and pre-school aged children must be collected by 5pm.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind families that staff are not employed to work in the office between 5pm and 5.30pm.
We are happy to facilitate early collections if you need to get your child to an after school activity e.g. a swimming or music lesson. Please email [email protected] to pre-arrange a before 5pm pick up time in these circumstances.
Families who have pre-arranged an occasional early collection from Lates must come to collect their children before 5pm.
Thank you for your support and understanding.

Just a quick email to remind you of the update to the ATLAS CAMP booking system if you want to book any children in over the February half term.
The details for this are below:
Follow the link - https://bookings.atlascamps.co.uk/listing/holiday-clubs
- Create an account – this will enable you to save children for future camps rather than inputting all information in again.
- When you have selected the days and children you would like to book, go to payments, and select ‘affiliate School’.
- Atlas Camps will then send you an invoice for payment following your booking.
- If you need to make any amendments to your booking this can all be done through the bookings through your account.
Atlas Camps have asked that you please ensure that the emergency contact numbers are for the parents or guardians who will be ‘on call’ in case they need to get In touch for any reason. You can include these in the address section for each individual child.
We would like to wish all of our families a wonderful half term break.
We look forward to seeing you all back at school and nursery on Monday 24th February.
