Book Fair - Here next Thursday
On Thursday 10th April, the Yellow-Lighted Book Shop will be hosting a book fair after school on the playground. Come along to browse and purchase books.
You may find books from the authors who recently visited us for the Dunalley Literature Festival!
Year 2 had a terrific time on Thursday afternoon when they made their moving vehicles. They had to design and make a vehicle on wheels to transport a giraffe! The vehicle had to have two axles (at least) and the wheels all had to turn when the car was pushed.
There were wheels, dowels, saws, felt tips, boxes, scissors, reels of selotape everywhere and everyone managed to get their vehicle to move (with a little support from the parents and carers to came along to support the children - thank you, your presence was invaluable!)! Well done, Year 2!
School Lunches - We would like your feedback
We introduced our new catering provider, Dolce Ltd, last January. As we approach the summer term, we felt it an appropriate time to gather some feedback from families. We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes of your time to complete the survey
Your responses will help us ensure that we have the best possible service for your children.
Increase to Lates fees from September 2025
From September 2025, we will need to increase our Lates fees from £10.00 to £13.50 per day.
We have kept our rate lower than many other schools for the last few years and our price does still remain competitive. However, as school costs continue to rise, sadly, so must our charge. We hope that by informing you now, those of you who use this facility, have as much notice as possible.
Thank you all for your continued support.
Earlies & Lates Bookings - Summer Term
Everyone who has completed the booking forms for Earlies & Lates for next term (after EAster) will have received confirmation of their bookings and the policy & procedures agreement to sign.
Thank you for your continued support.
2025 PENNY WARS 7-10 APRIL
Dunalley Penny Wars is next week! Each class will be given an empty jar to fill with as many copper coins as possible. But… you can help your teacher sabotage another class by bringing in silver coins to put in another class’s jar.
1p gives 1 point, 2p gives 2 points. 5p subtracts 5 points and 10p subtracts 10 points. The class with the most points wins a treat box for their class. The winning class will be announced in assembly.
PTFA MEETING 08/04/25
Please come along to our next PTFA meeting on Tuesday 8th April, 7.30pm, at The Hewlett on Harp Hill. We hope to see you there.
CAKE SALE 8/5/25
Get ready for our next school bake sale after school on Thursday 8th May. If you would like a challenge, design your bakes for the theme ‘Spring’ and be as creative as you like.
Supporting the Little Princess Trust
Flossie Masters, a thoughtful and compassionate Year 5 pupil, has selflessly cut 11 inches off her hair to support the Little Princess Trust.
By donating her hair, Flossie aims to raise funds for the charity, ensuring that children undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments receive wigs for free.
Her generosity shines brightly, inspiring others to contribute: https://www.justgiving.com/page/flossies-haircut?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL

We are always delighted to receive donations for our OPAL Play initiative.
If you would like to donate, please give them to Mrs Byrne via the school office, or leave them in the black OPAL donation box outside of the main reception.
