Thank you for the Ping Pong set !
We are deeply grateful to our anonymous donor for the wonderful gift of a ping pong set. It has already been put to great use during OPAL play, bringing lots of fun and energy to our lunch times.
Thank you ever so much for your generosity!
Please could we have some pipes for OPAL Play?
They’d make the session more vibrant and fun for the children, giving them new ways to explore, build, and play together.
A few simple additions like this can really help us create those one-off, memorable experiences outdoors.
Thank you so much!
Exciting News – A New Dunalley Website is Coming!
We’re currently working on a brand-new Dunalley Primary School website. Our aim is to make it just as intuitive and user-friendly as our current site. (Unfortunately, our current provider is closing down.)
As part of this exciting process, a photographer will be visiting school on Tuesday 25th November to capture the true feel of Dunalley on a typical school day.
If you have opted for your child’s photograph not to be used on our website, please rest assured that we will ensure those children are not included in any marketing photographs.
If you need to update or change your photographic consent, we kindly ask that you do so now.
Please ensure your children bring a warm and waterproof winter coat to school and wear it during break and lunchtime.
While we know they love to run around and often don’t notice the chill, this week’s sudden cold snap has been a real shock. Staying wrapped up will help keep everyone comfortable and healthy outdoors.
Our Nursery and Children in Need
On Thursday last week our Nursery children did their very own event to raise money for Children in Need.
They joined in with a sponsored run/walk/bike around our school field.
In total we raised in Nursery alone a fabulous £31.50.
We are so proud of all of our children in Nursery.
Thank you to all our parents/carers for your support, generosity and kindness.
On Friday the children came in in Pyjamas or spots and brought in their own teddy with them to show their friends. We did some dancing with Bluey, Pudsey and the Strictly dancers and also did some Pudsey sticking. It was a wonderful couple of days.
Here are some lovely photographs of both days for you to enjoy:

Pre school and Nursery Christmas Production
Hello Pre school and Nursery Parents and carers,
We would like to invite you to come along to watch our Christmas Production which will include a variety of Christmas songs performed by your lovely children. We hope that you will be able to join us.
Date: Wednesday 3rd December 2025
Time: 2.15pm
Where: In the school hall
Who: Maximum of 2 people per child please (this includes younger siblings).
Towards the end of November we will ask you to send in a Christmas jumper and a bobble hat in a named carrier bag for your children to wear during the production.
If your child doesn’t attend the afternoon session or doesn’t usually come in on this day, please feel free to bring them along to join us at 2.15pm, so that they can be a part of it too.
Kind regards
Miss Liz, Rachel and the rest of the Preschool and Nursery team.
If your child has long hair, please make sure that it is tied up when they are at school. Doing so makes sure that it doesn't get in the way when they are playing and learning. Bunches and plaits also slow down the spread of nits.
Please be aware that we have headlice circulating in school.
Please check your child(ren) on at least a weekly basis and treat if required.
The NHS have some useful information about treatment and prevention which you can find HERE.
When at the chemist buying headlice treatment it is always worth asking the pharmacist about the NHS Minor Ailment Scheme, as you may be able to access the treatment for free.
2026 Look Who's Talking competition
We are very excited to be taking part in the 2026 Look Who's Talking competition.
Please read the information on the poster to learn more about the competition and how your child can take part. It is important that they feel confident speaking in front of a large audience and are passionate about their speech.
Class heats will be taking place the week beginning 1st December 2025.
If your child would like to take part in the competition, please ensure they are prepared and ready to perform their speech by this date. Thank you.
