Year 1 had a brilliant time on their trip to the Holst Museum!
We have just begun learning about how the Victorian's celebrated Christmas and had a fantastic time making comparisons between the present and the past. We learnt lots about life in the Victorian era, such as the types of presents you might have found in your stocking (like an orange!), the decorations you might have had on your Christmas tree, and we even had a look at some Victorian Christmas cards with very peculiar designs!
We also learnt a Victorian recipe for mince pie filling and got to make our very own to bring back to school!

Our Year 6 pupils have had a fantastic week taking part in Bikeability!
The instructors were hugely impressed with the children’s positive attitudes, excellent listening skills, and determination to improve. Throughout the sessions, pupils developed valuable practical skills and grew in confidence as they learned how to cycle safely on today’s roads. Cycling is not only a wonderful way to stay active, but also a sustainable choice that supports our planet. We hope the skills and enjoyment gained this week will inspire many of our children to continue cycling long into the future.

We use iPhones as school cameras to capture moments around the school, especially during OPAL activities. Unfortunately, Mrs Byrne’s current phone is now too old to use effectively.
If you have an iPhone 15 or newer that you no longer need, we would be thrilled to repurpose it solely for school photography—it really helps us save time.
If you’re able to help, please email [email protected] or drop it into the school office for Mrs Byrne’s attention.
Thank you so much for considering!
Family Snowman Competition 2025
We are excited to launch our family snowman making competition. Building on the success of last years competition, we invite you all to make a snowman that can sit on school window sills during the winter months. We hope that the following pictures will inspire you.
Please bring your entries to school as soon as they are ready. The competition will be judged in the final week of term so you have a couple of weeks to make your entry. Please label your snowman clearly and make sure that he is able to sit on a window sill (which is 25cm deep).
