Dear Families,
I am sorry to inform you that school will remain closed for children in reception to year 6 on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th October. This decision has not been taken lightly and has been made in partnership with Governors and local authority representatives.
The unprecedented and unmanageable level of staff absence across our school means that we will not be able to open safely. The growing numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases in our school community is also a cause for concern. We hope that this firebreak will help to break chains of transmission and enable us all to return to school after half term as fit and healthy as possible.
We are able to remain open for children in nursery and pre-school.
For the next two days, we will continue to share remote learning for children in years 1 to 6 via MSTeams, and for children in reception via Tapestry. Please email [email protected] if you need any support with this.
I apologise for the inconvenience that this situation will cause, and thank you for your patience and understanding in these difficult times.
Yours truly,
Alison Godfrey
Headteacher
