The children have had a busy fortnight back at school. The lovely weather has enabled the continuation of lots of outdoor activities for year groups: Commando Joes, forest school as well as lots of PE. The field has been a hive of activity this week at breaks and lunchtimes with lots of skipping taking place, as each class has a new set of play equipment for the summer term. The new picnic tables have been a popular spot for reading a book or having a chat with friends. Pippin has enjoyed being outside meeting all of the children on his lunchtime walks. 

Thank you all very much for continuing to follow all of our COVID procedures at drop off and pick up times (wearing face coverings and following 2 metre social distancing) and being vigilant about COVID symptoms; it is much appreciated. We continue to follow our school risk assessment as the schools’ guidance has not changed at all even though there has been an easing of some restrictions in wider society. 

We hope that you all enjoy the extended weekend and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday. 

Throughout the last two terms we have endeavoured to continue to provide communication with teachers through face to face meetings, telephone calls and year group emails. As we are now all back at school and the children have settled into the new term we are discontinuing our year group emails as from today.  

These emails have enabled communication with teachers when infection rates were high and during the lockdown period. As we are in a much better position now with infection rates, teachers will be able to have a socially distanced conversation with parents at pick up times if needed.  

Reception, Y1 and Y2 parents please ask to speak to the teacher and move towards the car park. Year 3,4,5,6 please speak to the teacher at the bottom of the field. This will ensure that social distancing can be maintained and keep the flow of parents moving.

Thank you to parents and carers who keep their accounts in credit, it saves the office team lots of time chasing for payments when there is so much more to do in a school office ! Please remember that lunches and Earlies & Lates need to be paid for in advance.
