Parent Teacher Meetings Thank You
Thank you to all families who were able to attend our family / teacher meetings this week. Changing systems seems to have been a huge part of dealing with COVID-19 here at Dunalley and one such system which we have overhauled has been our family / teacher meetings. Thank you to all of our families for engaging with this and for the positive feedback we have received. It was good to see so many of you on-line. We would like to thank Mrs Pain, our Office Manager for once again single-handedly managing the system and enabling this to run so smoothly.
As you know, we love books at Dunalley and have recently purchased lots of new books to add to our libraries as well as replacing the many books lost over the two lockdowns. If you follow this link https://www.nationalbooktokens.com/schools you could nominate our school and we could win £5000 of books! The more nominations we get the greater our chance of winning. If your entry is picked, you could win £100 for yourself.
WOW, have we got some super exciting news … launching this summer – holiday camps
At Dunalley we strive to do our very best for our families and realise the importance of childcare during the school holidays. We recognise that our families want their children to be with their friends and in the familiar surroundings of the school setting. So, a brand-new children’s holiday club delivered by Atlas Camps is coming to Dunalley.
Atlas Holiday Camps will keep your children entertained during the school holidays, starting this summer. Their offer will suit all interests, abilities and ages. Children are offered a huge variety of activities to choose from daily, ranging from; arts and crafts, dodgeball and talent shows, to tag rugby, short story competitions and face painting; among many others.
Bookings for Atlas Camps at Dunalley in the summer holidays will go live on Monday 7th June 2021 at 12:00pm.
To book your place from 7th June, or for more information in the meantime, please visit: www.atlascamps.co.uk. BOOK EARLY BECAUSE THE HOLIDAY CAMP WILL BE OPEN TO THE WIDER PUBLIC NOT ONLY DUNALLEY.
We believe that by working with Atlas Holiday Camps during all the school holidays (except Christmas) we will not only be supporting our families, we will also be providing an opportunity for our children to have lots of fun, meet new friends and flourish through learning new skills.
We hope you are as excited by this new venture as much as we are!

REMINDER Communication via year group emails
As stated on last week’s newsletter, our year group emails are no longer in operation. These were continued during the autumn and spring terms when infection rates were high and during the lockdown period. As we are in a much better position now, teachers will be able to have a socially distanced conversation with parents at pick up times, if needed. Messages for teachers can also be delivered via members of staff on duty at drop-off times.
If your child is in either of the Reception classes remember that you can use Tapestry to communicate with your child’s teacher.
As always, if you are unable to speak to the teacher directly, please revert to using our [email protected] email. All messages will be delivered to the relevant teacher.
Please note that puddings are different to what is shown on the menu and we are currently only able to offer homemade cake or shortbread.
