Nursery & Pre-school - Retain 5 Star Award
Well done to our Nursery & Pre-school for keeping their Level 5 Food Hygiene award.
Cheltenham Borough Council visited unannounced and were very complimentary on the cleanliness and effective procedures in place.
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week (7-13 February 2022). This year's theme is Growing Together encouraging children (and adults) to consider how they have grown and how they can help others to grow.
We have added a useful link for practical tips for our families to support children’s wellbeing and behaviour.
Our clubs started on Monday and it has been lovely to see the children engaging in extra curricular activities accross the school.
Holiday Free School Meal Voucher Scheme
This February half term, Gloucestershire County Council is once again providing vouchers to parents who have signed up to their Holiday Free School Meals (FSM) scheme. These vouchers are provided by Gloucestershire County Council as part of its commitment to ‘no child goes hungry’.
Parents who have signed up to the scheme will receive a voucher for £15 for each child who is eligible for free school meals which will cover the February half term week. The scheme is eligible for children aged 4-16 years old. Parents who have signed up previously do not need to re-register, they have already been included, but to ensure we get all who are eligible, we are encouraging new parents to sign up as soon as they can.
Applications for Holiday Free School Meal Vouchers for the February half term period is now open until the 14th February, click here to access the application form.
Voucher emails will be sent out between 15th and 16th of February. Please check your junk/spam email folders during this period as sometimes the vouchers end up there.
You can contact get in contact by emailing [email protected] for further details or if you have not receievd your voucher.
Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)
The No Child Left Behind team are making arrangements for the Easter Holiday Activity and Food programme. This is a government-funded programme that aims to ensure that children on free school meals can access food and activities over the Easter break.
For primary-aged children on free school meals, they are offering:
· A choice of a food hamper (meat-based or vegetarian-based) that will make four meals that will be delivered to your school, OR
· The option to choose your own food at one of Cheltenham’s community food pantries.
Both options will be subject to availability and are offered on a one per family basis.
They would like you to book which food option you would like by using the link below by 3pm Monday 21 March:
https://nochildleftbehindcheltenham.coordinate.cloud/list
They will not be able to take email bookings. If you have not yet registered on the system, you will need to create an account – there is more information here if you need any help:
Registering on the system will also give you the opportunity to book a range of other activities that will go live from Monday 28 March.
