We have now had families from every year group into school to have a cup of tea and a chat, see their children's work and be given a tour of the school by the children.
On Monday we welcomed Year 5 & Year 6 families.
Thank you all for coming along, it was lovely to see so many families over the last couple of weeks and the feedback following these visits has been extremely positive.
98.61% of families are pleased that their child comes to Dunalley Primary School.
98.60% of you would recommend Dunalley Primary School to other families.
Here is a snippet of the comments we have received via our survey.
Too many to add here unfortunately.

Pippin's Birthday Celebrations
We celebrated Pippin’s 3rd birthday in the sunshine on Saturday, there were so many families having fun it was lovely to see. The children (and some adults) fully engaged with Thomas Trilby, our circus entertainer and the ice creams were a big hit too.
Thank you to everyone who came along, we hope to do another family event in the summer term.
Pippin was delighted by the amount of gifts he receievd and absolutey loved the home made cards.
Thank you all so much for your generosity.
Primary School Tag Rugby Festival – 23rd March 2022 at Newlands Park
On Wednesday a group of 12 boys and girls from Year 5 attended the annual Tag Rugby Festival. Following only a handful of training sessions with Mr Jones and Mr Oliver the team were ready to challenge themselves against primary schools across Gloucester and Cheltenham.
The sun was shining and we were excited to play rugby! The morning session was a ‘round robin’ format where we faced five other teams in Pool 4. We had a hugely successful morning remaining unbeaten with 3 wins and 2 draws. This ranked us 2nd in our pool which meant we faced other teams who finished 2nd in their pools during the afternoon session. We continued our excellent form and finished the afternoon with 2 wins and 1 loss.
The team demonstrated excellent teamwork, great sportsmanship and remained enthusiastic and supportive throughout. Everyone had a great day and loved representing Team Dunalley!
Year 3 - Visit to Corinium Museum, Cirencester
Fabulous sunshine has just made our lunchtimes all the more wonderful this week.
The children have had the freedom to explore the all of the play zones and are clearly enjoying mixing together. For those of you who made it into school for the tea and chats you will have seen how fabulous the grounds are and why we are so pleased that the children can have access to play together.
We would really like to have some extra picnic blankets, den making items and dressing up clothes please !
Book Fair - There will also be a book fair available for families to visit during the family meetings and after school on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Book Fair - Yellow-Lighted Bookshop
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Book Fair hosted by The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop, from Nailsworth and Tetbury who have been keen to support us with our initiative to create a love of reading in our school.
We were fortunate to benefit from some fabulous new books for our school library.
We hope to invite The Yellow-Lighted Bookshop back as we had such good feedback on the quality of books on sale.

Ukrainian Refugee Appeal - Donations
Once again thank you so much to those families who donated, we just wanted to update you that the dontaions have arrived in Poland very close to the Ukranian border.
We will soon end our subscription to our costly text messaging service. It is now really important that families engage with our school app.
We are really excited about our school app, as it enables families to do so much more from home and office staff have a much improved and very effective way to communicate to families.
The app costs families nothing but will save our school the thousands of pounds a year it costs to send text messages out.
This money will be well spent on educational resources for you children as well as helping to cover the increases to utliiy bills we are all expecting.
Please download the app as soon as you can.
There are a number of items in our lost property, we will endeavour to put this outside for you to have a look through over the next few school days.
Please ensure your child's items are lclearly abelled, as we are able to take them to the classrooms if items are found, unfortunaley we are unable to help otherwise.
