Pippin will be there to enjoy all of the birthday wishes.
The PTFA will be hosting a sweet stall and serving hot chocolate.
They will also be promoting the PTFA Bingo, with a chance to win cash prizes each and every month.
Atlas Camps will be joining us for the morning and will organise a few games for the children and be at hand to discuss Holiday Camps with parents and carers if interested.
Atlas Camps will (weather permitting) be holding a penalty shoot out and various 'Challenge the Coach' competitions.
Some of our OPAL team are also coming along and will arrange some toys for the children to play with.
We really do hope that you can join us.
We are a Healthy School and are committed to promoting and monitoring healthy food at break, lunch times and during our after-school care provision (Lates).
Our children can enjoy wholesome food that is locally sourced and cooked onsite. View our well-balanced meals menu is on our website.
Parents can choose not to take up a school lunch for their child, in which case children should bring a healthy packed lunch into school in a small named container.
You can find many healthy lunch box ideas online, here is a link to a few.
All children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 are currently entitled to universal infant free school meals. However, we need all families to log on HERE and complete the online form, if you have not done so.
In addition to a nutritious lunch, we recommend that your child has a mid-morning snack. We welcome fruit and vegetables but ask that you do not to send your child in with biscuits, chocolate, crisps or sweets of any kind. Children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 are currently provided with free fruit every day as part of the National Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.
On Friday the 5th of May we will celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III
We are really excited that that we can celebrate this momentous occasion together at Dunalley.
From the end of the school day (at 3.15pm) we will open our grounds for a family picnic.
There will be two competitions: a 'Cake fit for a King' and a 'Crown fit for a King'
Homemade cakes and crowns can be bought into school on the morning of Friday 5th ready to be judged during our school assembly.
Children are invited to come to school wearing red, white and blue.
At hometime, children must be collected as usual as children staying for the event must be supervised by parents and carers. We will do our best to make sure that children who are booked into Lates are able to enjoy the event under the supervision our usual staff.
More information will be provided over the next few weeks.
Nursery & Pre-school - Forest School & OPAL
Nursery and Pre-school enjoyed their first session of Forest School last week and will be exploring Forest School on a weekly basis. They have been creative and used their observational skills to paint some primroses for their Mothers Day cards. We hope you like them!
They also had opportunity to explore Opal Play, alongside the Opal Play Partners. The children really enjoyed their time exploring the different zones and equipment available. This will support the pre-school children in their transition into school and we will be booking in some more sessions in the summer term.
