Mrs Mandy Errington, current Year 2 Teaching Partner, will be leaving us at half term.
Mandy (previously known as Mrs Ellis) has been with us since 2016 and spent many years in Reception classes, during which time she nurtured many children as they started school at Dunalley. Mandy's hard work, empathy and kindness will be greatly missed by pupils and staff alike. We wish her the very best for her future.
As an OPAL School we encourage the children to use all of our wonderful grounds throughout the year, we do rely on families to ensure that the children have a change of shoes in school to avoid school shoes and expensive footwear getting wet and muddy.
Please can all families ensure that there are spare outdoor shoes or preferably wellies kept in school for the children to change into for play.

2025 Secondary School Admissions
The closing date for secondary school applications is approaching – 31 October 2024.
GCC are encouraging parents/carers to apply online as this means you will receive an email on allocation day. The link to apply online is Transfer to Secondary School or from Middle to High School, September 2025 | Gloucestershire County Council
However, if you are really struggling to use the online system, you can use the attached Common Application Form (CAF) and you will be notified by letter after allocation day. To ensure GCC receive your completed paper CAFs before the deadline, the quickest way to return it is to scan or photograph the CAF and email it to GCC - school can help with this if you need.
Parents/carers with queries can contact this team on either [email protected] or 01452 425407.

Dear Parent or Carer, of children in Reception & Yr6 only
Screening vision and measuring the healthy growth of children
Each year in England, school children in Reception and Year 6 have their height and weight checked at school as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP). Height and weight measurements are used to better understand the healthy growth of your child. We collect this information because it is in the interest of public health to understand how many children are living with a healthy weight or are above or below a healthy weight.
Your Head Teacher has agreed that your child’s school will be participating in the NCMP, you can contact your school to find out when we will be visiting. If a high volume of children are absent on the date of our visit, we may need to make another unplanned visit so please complete the opt out form HERE if you do not wish for your child to be included in any NCMP measurements.
Please note, children will not be made to take part on the day if they do not want to.
Further information can be found at the links below. If you are happy, no action is required.
