Spring Term 2024 - Curriculum information for families
We have sent out links to year group curriculum information today via Edulink, and for your convenience, we have also pasted documents below.
Please do not hesitate to contact class teachers if you would like further information or advice - we are always happy to help.
We would like to thank families who consistently ensure that their child(ren) arrive at school on time. This enables children and staff to start the school day in the best possible way.
Whilst we appreciate that there can occasionally be unforeseen, exceptional circumstances which prevent a prompt arrival at school, please be aware that persistent lateness is a cause for concern. This is because of the impact it has on the children and the school.
Our lessons get off to a swift start each day as we are eager to ensure that children achieve, succeed and flourish. Children who arrive late often feel unsettled and upset because the start of their day is automatically problematic. As well was needing to rush to catch up and organise their belongings, they are usually confused and unsure of the day ahead as they have missed key instructions and information.
Lessons are also disrupted when teaching staff need to stop what they are doing to repeat instructions or explanations. This hinders teaching and learning and impacts on everyone. Admin and catering teams are also impacted when morning registration has been missed.
We recognise that morning routines can be difficult to establish and maintain, especially when managing cold winter mornings. Please email [email protected] or contact Sam Ashton if you would like guidance or support in getting your child(ren) to school on time.
Reception had a fantastic day this week when they visited Birdland, as part of their Winter Wonderland focus.
They had been planning questions to ask the keeper about penguins and found out lots of new information! They were great ambassadors for Dunalley and thoroughly enjoyed their first school trip. We even got to search for dinosaurs as well as camouflaged owls and pink flamingos.
We would like to thank everyone that has donated towards our Dunalley Pantry. Your kindness is greatly appreciated by us and the families that benefit from it.
