Nursery Information - Autumn 2025

Nursery Information

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had a wonderful start to the term in our new Nursery setting! It’s been such a joy getting to know your children and watching them become familiar with their new environment. Both Vicky and I (Rachel) are incredibly proud of how well each and every child has settled into Nursery life—they’ve shown such confidence, curiosity, and kindness already.

As mentioned on Tapestry, there are a few items we’d like you to bring in for your child to keep at Nursery. Here’s a quick reminder:

  • Slippers
  • Wellies and waterproofs
  • A change of clothes bag – including spare clothes, underwear (for potty training), nappies, wet wipes, barrier cream, and nappy sacks. We’ll send the bag home or request items if anything needs replenishing. Please ensure all clothing and belongings are clearly labelled.

Thank you to those who have already brought these items in—your support is much appreciated. For more details, please refer to Tapestry.

If you have any questions or would like to speak with a member of the Nursery Team, we kindly ask that you do so at pick-up time, when we’ll have more time to chat and listen properly.

We’ll be providing snacks and a labelled water bottle for each child, which will be accessible throughout the day.

This term, we’ll be focusing on listening skills through a variety of stories and rhymes. Some of the favourites we’ll be sharing include:

That’s Not My Puppy – which we’ve already enjoyed a few times

  • Maisy goes to Nursery
  • Where’s Spot?
  • Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
  • Round and Round the Garden

We’ll be sending these rhymes home in an activity book for you to enjoy with your child. To help us do this, please purchase a book bag, which will also be used to send home a storybook and any wonderful mark-making creations your child produces. Book bags should be brought in daily so children can change their storybooks and bring home their creations.

Throughout the term, we’ll be learning to share resources, building friendships, and engaging in lots of physical activities both indoors and outdoors. We’ll continue to share these special moments with you through photos and observations on Tapestry.

We’re really looking forward to the year ahead—building strong relationships with you and, most importantly, supporting your children as they learn and grow through play.

Warm regards, Rachel (Nursery Room Lead) & Vicky
