Maths targets

Your child will bring home knowledge organisers for each unit of work. This will help inform you of your child’s learning and help you support your child in maths.

Your child will also have access to a programme called Numbots which will support your child’s maths. We will provide your child with login details.

Your child will bring home a weekly activity to do at home.

Reading

  • Teachers will be giving the children RWI home readers each week. Please can your child bring the books to school daily as there will be opportunities to read them in school.
  • Please read daily with your child and record what they have read to you in their yellow reading records. (It could just be a tick, but it would help us to be able to more closely and effectively monitor which books have been read if you do this.)
  • In the RWI home readers, there is a guide on how to use the reading book effectively.

Your child will bring home a letter to inform you of what your child will be learning in their RWI / Guided reading group.

  • Your child will also be given the opportunity to choose a story time book from our library at the end of the day for you to read together. Please see allocated day below.
