Spring 2023 - Curriculum Information
Earlier this week we sent out links to year group curriculum information. For your convenience we have also pasted them below.
Please do not hesitate to contact class teachers if you would like further information or advice - teachers are always happy to help.
It was an absolute delight to take some of our junior children to Birmingham this week to take part in the Young Voices 2023 performance at the NEC.
The children really did Dunalley proud. Their behaviour was impeccable and their singing was super!
Thank you to our families who came along to support the children too, it was great fun spotting you in the crowd (the banner helped).
Thank you to all of the families who attended Mrs Fisher's Phonics workshop yesterday afternoon, the turnout was fabulous.
Your engagement, help and support is invaluable.
REMINDER - Thursday 2nd February - 9-9.30am
Reception, year 1 and year 2 families are invited to come into school to dip into phonics lessons and witness first hand our teaching and learning.
Nursery & Pre-school - Their week
Bake Sale - Friday 20th January
Please bring your cake donations for the bake sale on the morning of Friday 20th January. Children will be able to purchase a cake for 50p during their break time and more will be available after school. Please send your child to school with 50p on the day. We can't wait to see what you create!
OPAL - items we would really like
As per our article last week, as we continue to establish our Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) initiative we want to add to our collection of items for the children to play with.
We would really like the following items; can you help?
Paint brushes and paint rollers.
Old jackets and hats.
Funnels, sieves and colanders.
Large plastic pipes and guttering (for our water wall).
Tarpaulins for den making.
Peg too please.
Do you know anyone who can provide us with tree stumps?
Old water butts, large plastic bins or tractor tyres?
We are currently recruiting at Dunalley, looking for people who would like to make a difference and join our fabulous team of support staff.
Nursery & Pre-school vacancy
We require a Midday Supervisor to join our Nursery & Pre-school; did you know that many of our current support staff started their careers at Dunalley as a Midday Supervisor. The hours suit if you have young children and don't want to work during the school holidays (but will be paid every month). We also offer an excellent pension package and really good training opportunities.
